Mesotherapy for Hairloss: Frequently Asked Questions
-
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive procedure whereby a combination of medications are injected into the scalp to directly target the hair follicle to stimulate hair growth. For patients who don’t want to take oral medication or cannot tolerate its side effects, mesotherapy is a great treatment option.
Dr. Aivaz uses either minoxidil or dutasteride or a combination of the two in her mesotherapy treatments. Mesotherapy, alone or in combination with medical therapy, has achieved amazing results for Dr. Aivaz’s patients!
The process: The scalp is cleaned and a nerve block can be performed to temporarily numb the scalp which makes the procedure virtually painless. The mesotherapy solution is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles.
