Before treatment, you will have a consultation with Dr. Aivaz to discuss your concerns and desired outcomes. During this consultation, Dr. Aivaz will examine you and ask questions about your medical history to ensure you are a candidate for treatment.

During treatment, the area will be cleaned and prepped for the procedure. The skin is numbed with a prescription-strength numbing cream. Additionally, cool air and ice applied during the procedure make it very tolerable. After the treatment, the recovery time is short and relatively comfortable. Redness, swelling, bruising, pinpoint scabbing and minor irritation similar to a mild sunburn may develop, but these effects typically subside in 5-7 days. Sun exposure before and after treatment should be avoided and a sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher should be worn daily. The procedure takes about 45 minutes.
